THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AMARILLO HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WATCH?WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING THROUGH
THURSDAY MORNING.

* EVENT?A BAND OF HEAVY SNOWS WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE WATCH AREA AS
? A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM PASSES THROUGH THE PANHANDLES.
? SNOWFALL RATES IN EXCESS OF AN INCH PER HOUR ARE POSSIBLE. RAIN
? COULD BRIEFLY MIX WITH FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET LATE WEDNESDAY
? AFTERNOON AND EARLY WEDNESDAY EVENING BEFORE CHANGING TO ALL SNOW
? LATE WEDNESDAY EVENING.

* AMOUNTS?SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES?WITH A POSSIBILITY
? FOR HIGHER AMOUNTS IN THE WATCH AREA. VERY LIGHT ICE ACCUMULATIONS
? WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE WITH INITIAL FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET.

* TIMING?THE MOST LIKELY WINDOW FOR HEAVY SNOWS WILL BE BETWEEN 10
