Looking for a great opportunity to apply your inside sales experience to a rapidly growing manufacturing company located just north of the Twin Cities? We are looking for a high energy person that has a strong background in and managing customer accounts and growing business.?

JOB DESCRIPTION?

This position reports to the Sales Director and will provide you with the responsibilities of:

  • Working with existing customers to estimate cost for new parts and manage each new part or assembly from the quote stage through ongoing production
  • Increasing the business from existing customers by providing exceptional customer service, embedding yourself in their new programs and earning additional business
  • Providing updates to internal and external customers as to the status of each project
  • Expediting as necessary to ensure the delivery dates are met
  • Managing all customer changes including; estimating cost per change, communicating the change internally, ensuring the appropriate documentation is used to process the change and working with materials to disposition all material as necessary
  • Suggesting cost reduction ideas to customers and managing the implementation
  • Preparing sales forecasts with projected volume for each customer
  • Keeping up to date with the capabilities and technology available and communicating with customers on new developments
  • Managing profit margins on new and existing business ? suggesting price adjustments as necessary
  • Taking the lead on any issues that arise with customers
  • Staying abreast of the industry and looking for new accounts?

JOB REQUIREMENTS?

An excellent candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in an engineering or technical discipline desired or equivalent work experience in a similar role
  • Must have the ability to understand blue prints and estimate labor, raw material, tooling, paint or outside operations, packaging and any other cost associated with the job
  • Three years experience required in an inside sales or customer service role
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes and tooling
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, PPAP and metrics
  • Strong communication skills
  • Up to 15% travel may be required?
