Next Apple iPad hits shelves next week VIDEO

The 128GB iPads will be available in Apple stores, the Apple Online store and ?select Apple Authorized Resellers.??

Apple Inc. says the latest incarnation of its fourth-generation iPad -- this one with double the storage of its current largest model -- will hit shelves on Feb. 5.

The step up to 128GB versions of the iPad is an incremental one for Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL), and one that seems aimed at enterprises and other users with large amounts of data, according to The Wall Street Journal?s Digits blog.

Prices will range from $799 for the Wi-Fi model to $929 for the Wi-Fi-plus-cellular model, according to Apple?s news release. The new versions will be available in the Apple Online store, Apple stores and ?select Apple Authorized Resellers.?

The Silicon Valley Business Journal posted a report about the dropping prices for Apple?s stock and some of its earlier product models -- and what that might mean for the Cupertino, Calif.-based tech giant. At the same time, several other news sources are showing leaked pictures of possible prototypes of the new iPad, iPad Mini and a ?budget? iPhone 5.

Apple Inc. has two stores in Orlando and one in Altamonte Springs.

Why Pornhub's 'Rejected' Super Bowl Ad Is A ... - Business Insider

pornhub rejected super bowl ad 2013Pornhub is making headlines for announcing that it's incredibly mild "Super Bowl ad," featuring an elderly couple looking lovingly into each others' eyes on an idyllic park bench, was rejected by CBS.

While many believe the hype that big, bad CBS blocked? poor, well intentioned Pornhub's G-rated spot, the fact is that this is more likely a cheap stunt to get free publicity: There's no way this ad could have played in the Super Bowl. It's not even the right length.

Super Bowl spots are sold in 30-second increments. This year, those half-minute spots went for a hefty average of $3.8 million ? although one advertiser spent more than $4 million. Pornhub's ad is 20-seconds long ... which simply makes no sense.

Pornhub's press release states that "a CBS spokesperson offered this brief response via email to the website's proposal: "CBS Television Network Standards do not permit advertising related to pornography. Therefore, we cannot accept your submission."

This is well known to everyone in the ad industry, and thus Pornhub could not have expected CBS to say yes. It's highly unlikely that the company had any intention of shelling out the millions to play this spot.

Promoting an ad as a "banned" spot is an increasingly popular marketing technique.

In fact, dating site "Big and Beautiful" claimed that NBC Sports rejected its ad in 2012 for featuring a plus-sized model in its scandalous ad. The network told us that the site never even sent in an official request to buy a spot.

Adultery dating site Ashley Madison has also claimed to have submitted ads that were banned by Super Bowl bigwigs.

But it is a decent publicity strategy.

"I remember one year when the networks wouldn't allow one of the Bud Light spots in the game, so Bud actually released it online as, 'the Super Bowl ad the networks wouldn't let you see,'" Tanin Blumberg,an account director at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Budweiser Super Bowl ad veteran, told BI. "It was pretty smart ... got about 1 million views on YouTube in just a few days."

Pornhub is asking users to vote on whether or not they believe the tame ad should air or not.

Pornhub did not respond immediately to a request for comment.

The Truth About Payday Loans Things You Should Know | Free ...

The Truth about payday loans ? Things You Should Know

Sometimes we can all use a little help financially. If you find yourself with a financial problem, and you don?t know where to turn, you can get a payday loan. A payday loan is a short-term loan that you can receive quickly. There is a bit more involved, and these tips will help you understand further about what these loans are about.

Keep your personal safety in mind if you have to physically visit a payday lender. These places of business handle large sums of cash and are usually in economically impoverished areas of town. Try and only visit during daylight hours and park in highly visible spaces. Go in when other customers are also around.

A lot of payday loan companies like to offer people many times more than they have requested to borrow. Do not fall for this trick, since this is done to get you to owe the company more money at the end. Only borrow the amount you need and nothing extra.

If you are considering using a payday loan service, be aware of how the company charges their fees. Often the loan fee is presented as a flat amount. However, if you calculate it as a percentage rate, it may exceed the percentage rate that you are being charged on your credit cards. A flat fee may sound affordable, but can cost you up to 30% of the original loan in some cases.

Spend some time shopping around before you commit to one lender. There are a ton of different payday loan companies, each will have different interest rates, and different terms with their loans. If you take some time to look at multiple companies, you can save a lot of your hard-earned money.

Check your credit history before you look for a payday loan. Consumers with a healthy credit history will be able to get more favorable interest rates and terms of repayment. If your credit history is in poor shape, you can expect to pay interest rates that are higher, and you may not be eligible for a longer loan term.

When researching payday loan companies, do not ever consider a company who hides their interest rates, fees, and penalties. The law requires that all payday loan companies reveal all the relevant information, before a person applies for a loan. Companies that don?t provide this information could be attempting to trick you, into agreeing to pay huge interest rates.

Now you have a better idea of what you can expect from a payday loan. Think about it carefully and try to approach it from a calm perspective. If you decide that a payday loan is for you, use the tips in this article to help you navigate the process easily.

Lucasfilm postpones Star Wars Episode II and III 3D, focusing on Abrams-directed Episode VII

While Lucasfilm originally planned to bring Star Wars Episode II and III back to theaters in 3D this fall, it's just announced that will not happen. In a statement posted on the official site, it says "we will now focus 100 percent of our efforts on Star Wars: Episode VII." Lucasfilm is now owned by Disney, which just announced last week that J.J. Abrams (director of Star Trek and creator of TV series including Lost and Fringe) would direct the seventh installment, which is scheduled to hit theaters in 2015. The original trilogy was also reportedly on deck for 3D rerelease, but there's no word yet whether we'll see those again before Episode VII, just a promise to post "further information" at a later date.

J.J. Abrams to Direct Star Wars: Episode VII

J.J. Abrams will direct Star Wars: Episode VII, the first of a new series of Star Wars films to come from Lucasfilm under the leadership of Kathleen Kennedy. Abrams will be directing and Academy Award-winning writer Michael Arndt will write the screenplay.

"It's very exciting to have J.J. aboard leading the charge as we set off to make a new Star Wars movie," said Kennedy. "J.J. is the perfect director to helm this. Beyond having such great instincts as a filmmaker, he has an intuitive understanding of this franchise. He understands the essence of the Star Wars experience, and will bring that talent to create an unforgettable motion picture."

George Lucas went on to say "I've consistently been impressed with J.J. as a filmmaker and storyteller. He's an ideal choice to direct the new Star Wars film and the legacy couldn't be in better hands."

"To be a part of the next chapter of the Star Wars saga, to collaborate with Kathy Kennedy and this remarkable group of people, is an absolute honor," J.J. Abrams said. "I may be even more grateful to George Lucas now than I was as a kid."

J.J., his longtime producing partner Bryan Burk, and Bad Robot are on board to produce along with Kathleen Kennedy under the Disney | Lucasfilm banner.

Also consulting on the project are Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg. Kasdan has a long history with Lucasfilm, as screenwriter on The Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Return of the Jedi. Kinberg was writer on Sherlock Holmes and Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Abrams and his production company Bad Robot have a proven track record of blockbuster movies that feature complex action, heartfelt drama, iconic heroes and fantastic production values with such credits as Star Trek, Super 8, Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol, and this year's Star Trek Into Darkness. Abrams has worked with Lucasfilm's preeminent postproduction facilities, Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound, on all of the feature films he has directed, beginning with Mission: Impossible III. He also created or co-created such acclaimed television series as Felicity, Alias, Lost and Fringe.

Hidden eating disorders in the fitness industry - Hypnotherapy ...

fitness industry eating disordersWith their lithe, toned limbs and alarming level of flexibility, it would seem fitness instructors were put on this earth to make the rest of us feel inadequate.

If there?s anyone who knows the importance of eating a healthy diet, it?s a person who spends the majority of their day weight lifting, lunging, running and star-jumping their way to an ever increasing level of fitness.

Good nutrition is essential for stamina, muscle growth and the efficiency of oxygen flow around the body and yet, according to fitness instructor Nisha Obaidulla, eating disorders run rife in the fitness industry.

?It?s a very secretive disease,? she said. ?You would not believe the number of fitness professionals who suffer. I want to spread awareness so people are not afraid to come forward for help.?

Part of being an instructor is being a role model for your client. When you?re telling someone to do a certain number of chin-ups, or squats, you have to be able to do 10 times what they manage. Fitness instructors need to be walking advertisements for the services they offer, meaning the pressure is on to be as chiselled, fat-free and fit as possible.

Ms Obaidulla said her eating disorder began when she was very young, long before she became a fitness instructor. She spent a whole year just eating two bread rolls and a cheese spread triangle per day and as a teenager, took up to 30 laxatives a day to purge her body of nutrients.

It wasn?t until she was 21 that she realised she had coeliac disease, which meant gluten was causing her tummy to bloat.

Eventually, and with the help of therapy, Ms Obaidulla began to develop a better relationship with food. She now believes that fitness is more than just training and healthy eating. It?s about being happy in your life, it?s about keeping a positive state of mind and looking after your body.

Now the 34-year-old wants to expose eating disorders in the fitness industry, and show professionals that help is available.

When your livelihood rests on the look and effectiveness of your body, it can be very easy to slip into bad eating habits. Competitiveness and the desire to be the best means fitness professionals often impose strict diets on themselves. Learning to maintain a positive relationship with food is essential.

Some hypnotherapists specialise in treating eating disorders. Hypnotherapy can help reinforce those positive relationships and subtly alter any negative thought processes. To find out more, please visit our page about Eating Disorders.

Farmers Insurance Open 2013 purse: Tiger Woods bags $1.098 ...

Tiger Woods gets to take home a sizable sum for his victory at Torrey Pines over the weekend.

Cruising into another victory at Torrey Pines, Tiger Woods will take home $1.098 million as the winner of the Farmers Insurance Open after finishing Monday at 14-under over four rounds. He's the only player to receive a seven-figure sum from the tournament's $6.1 million purse.

After finishing with respective scores of 69 in the final round and 10-under overall for the tournament, Brandt Snedeker, last year's tournament winner, and Josh Teater each receive $536,800. Both managed to tie for second-place in the field despite having one below-par round apiece.

Jimmy Walker and Nick Watney both had solid weekends of consistent play, finishing tied for fourth in the field at 9-under. The latter was below-par in all four rounds as they each receive $268,400 shares of the purse for their respective efforts.

For Robert Garrigus and Rickie Fowler, Monday is a good day after struggles in earlier rounds. Both golfers rebounded from rough stretches to finish 8-under, tying with Aaron Baddeley for sixth in the field. That trio receives $204,350 apiece from the purse.
